The power of words to motivate employees

By Jacqueline Antonetti Moreno – Transformational Communicator. Diversity Expert. Bestselling Author. Solutions-finder.

As an innate and career communicator, I am a firm believer in the power that the words we think and express, both orally and written, have in our lives.

Words have the power to motivate or discourage people. Therefore, words have the power to make us move forward unstoppable towards the achievement of a goal or make us give-up halfway. That’s why we, as leaders, must make a conscious and smart choice of the words we use when talking to our team, as well as when creating our inner dialogues.

For example, one of the most obvious cases of such difference are the words problem vs. challenge. When we face a situation that seems to limit the completion of our plan, the natural tendency is to look at it as a ‘problem’. The issue with this word is that when we say it our mind immediately conditions itself to focus on the problem. We also begin to experience feelings that are rooted in fear: anxiety, anguish, etc. This, in turn, limits our ability to access our internal and unlimited source of solutions and resources, making it difficult to overcome adversity. 7 Reasons Why Businesses (and People) Should Focus On Being Competent Instead of Competing

puzzles-1515717By Jacqueline Antonetti Moreno – Transformational Communicator. Diversity Expert. Bestselling Author. Solutions Finder.

Throughout my life I have been a firm believer that we should compete with ourselves instead of spend our life competing with others. Namely, we should focus on being the best version possible of ourselves and make sure that we are better today than who we were yesterday. However, I kind of knew this instinctively, but wasn’t really aware of what were the benefits of having that “life philosophy” until about 12 years ago.

Back in the early 2000s in Venezuela, where I grew up and lived for over 30 years, there were two main cellular service providers which were so competitive that they kept highlighting in their tv ads what they did better than the competitor. Such “ads war” was actually fun to watch, to the point that people couldn’t wait for the reply of the competitor when one of the companies launched a new advertising campaign.

One day at a family reunion, my brother had been recently hired to be the VP Commercial Operations of one of the companies, and we talked about the competition described above. We all made our comments regarding how much fun to watch this was and so on, and then he said, with a smile on his face that the last ad was the last one we would see addressing the fails of the competitor. He had started a new advertising policy: they would focus on highlighting what they did great instead of highlighting what others did wrong.  Read the rest of this entry

“The path to success is built day after day with determination.”- JAM Inspira

And 2016 is here!… How many times have you set new year resolutions and after few weeks (or few months at most) you quit working towards achieving them? We all have been there! So, we don’t have to feel bad about it; what we should do is learn to change that behaviour.

One of the ways we can train our brain to stay focused on what we want and keep working firmly and determined towards our vision is reading, but most importantly internalizing quotes that help us have high levels of motivation.

I list below a brief selection of motivational quotes that I am confident will add value into our lives: Read the rest of this entry

What To Do When A Cycle Closes And A New One Opens – PART 2

Nuevas oportunidades

Puerta a un nuevo ciclo / Door to a new cycle

Last week I talked about how to productively close a cycle in order to open a new one. Today I talk about how to start a new cycle on the face of the new year.

The first thing I have to say is that I can’t help feeling a sense of inner joy when I face a new door because at the end of the day that is what a new cycle represents to me: a door to new opportunities, to new learning, to new experiences, to evolution, to meeting new people, to raise my level of consciousness, to enrich my life, to do things in a new way (and sometimes even better ways to do them)… Finally, a door that will lead me to go “from dreaming to achieving”, just like the title of my book (English version to come soon).

But how does one prepare to start a new cycle with a joy that overcomes the uncertainty of the unknown? Very simple: working to build the future we want! Below I detail how. Read the rest of this entry

What To Do When A Cycle Closes And A New One Opens – PART 1

When a cycle closes

Closing cycles

By Jacqueline Antonetti-Moreno – Transformational Communicator and #1 Bestselling Author

December starts today and this has a double meaning: a cycle of 365 days ends and a new one starts soon.

One of the greatest learnings I’ve had in my life is that to be able to open ourselves and move towards new experiences it’s necessary to close cycles. But, how do we close a cycle? Or even better, how do we close a cycle in a productive and positive way? Well, I tell you below.

The first thing we must do is to understand that the more aware we are about our actions, the easier it will be for us to align our lives with our true self and, such alignment will bring wholeness, peace and happiness into our lives.

Having said that, I list below some recommendations to close cycles in such a way that you will be able to keep that alignment and consistency I mentioned before: Read the rest of this entry

How to transform the 10 most common negative thoughts into positive

Elimina los pensamientos negativos.

How to eliminate negative thoughts.

By Jacqueline Antonetti-Moreno

Just as there are negative thoughts that are common to all of human beings, there are also ways to transform them into positive thoughts. I tell you how below.

Yes, I am a very optimistic woman, but I was not always like this. That is, I think I have an optimistic nature because until a few years ago, every time I was going through some sort of crisis, my “subconscious mind” (or soul, perhaps?), told me that that event will to be left behind and, that with time, I would give thanks to God for that event that once seemed horrible. However, I was not able to keep that spirit of optimism on daily. On the con life. On the contrary, my head would fill up with negative thoughts that made me lose the ability to enjoy when things went well.

Determined to change my life, I started my journey on the path of personal growth and managed to identify the occurrence of these negative thoughts frequently and also identified the impact they had in the way I lived and how I interpreted my reality.

That is how, from my experience, today I put at your disposal some ways to combat these thoughts that keep you from seeing life in beautiful colors.

Personal development: magic ingredient to achieve our dream life

Jim Rohn on the importance of personal development

For things to change you have to change – Jim Rohn.

By Jacqueline Antonetti-Moreno

“Success is something you attract by the person you become” Jim Rohn when he spoke about the importance of personal development.

It is no secret that one of the main interests of human beings is to succeed. However, not everyone is willing to do the first thing we need to do to get the desired result: to become the person who has the skills, abilities and wisdom to achieve that dream we have in our mind.

Why do I say that? Here is an example that although basic and generic, helps us have a clear idea of the approach of the average human. The word “success” has more than 360,000 searches on Google and “personal development” has only 27,000. I wonder how people can think that they could reach the much desired success (whatever their own definition for that term is) without improving their personal skills and knowledge. Tranformation is possible… If we take action!

La transformación hay que vivirla

Barbara De Angelis, Power of Success, Toronto 2015

By Jacqueline Antonetti-Moreno

“Transformation is an experiential event.”Barbara De Angelis, Power of Success, Toronto 2015.

Throughout my life I have heard many people complain about their reality and verbally express their desire for a better life, a better job, a better partner, a better finances, in short, a better reality in their lives. In fact, for years I was one of those people.

However, as I have witnessed cases of alleged transformation desires, I have also seen people’s inaction and their unwillingness to make “their share” to achieve the desired change. And, again, I must admit that I was also part of that group of people.

Perhaps you wonder what is my part? And the answer to that question is one word: “action”. What action? Any action that allows you to leave the status quo and start moving in the direction of your dreams. It is not the size of the action, is about “interrupting” the state of inactivity and start moving. Once we start this process of movement, the road begins to unveil in front of us as we go; that’s why you do not need to be absolutely clear on all the details of the ‘how’. However, a plan is needed.

As I have stated on several occasions after publishing my digital book “From Dreaming to Achieving” (currently in Spanish, soon to be available in English) every dream is possible to be achieved, and it’s built step by step. We should not be intimidated by the size of our dream, much less by what others say, we must only focus on taking action and start moving towards our vision. I like to constantly repeat, “the impossible just takes longer to be achieved.” And I repeat it because I believe it. I have proof. My life is an example of that; the book I wrote, (I, a perfect stranger) reaching No. 1 in sales on Amazon is a proof of that. Read the rest of this entry

15 Benefits of Faith (Beyond Religion or Atheism)

“Faith in something greater than us defeats our lack of faith in ourselves.”

Value of Faith

Benefits of Faith

This Labor Day (Canada and USA) had the joy of spending a few hours of delicious enjoyment with my husband and daughters in the inflatable pool (3 meters in diameter) we bought a couple of months ago. The girls left the pool and my husband and I were able to sit relaxed for about 30 minutes in the water next to each other. With the warm, bright sunshine bathed our faces, I said I was going to take advantage to do my meditation and it occurred to me to ask my husband if he wanted to meditate with me. He agreed and then I did my meditation aloud.

I usually do meditations with the angels, ascended masters and other beings of light who “present themselves” in the meditation. Each meditation is different; however, I try to include daily claims that raise my energy vibration and, above all, ask all Divine Beings to help me maintain and even raise my level of faith. The reasons? I mention them later.
