Resilience is the ability of an individual to face the problems and make the most of every adverse situation. A resilient person is one who has the capacity or the potential to transform a crisis into a real opportunity for growth.
Resilience does not make us indestructible beings, nor do the problems that do not affect us; on the contrary, the resilient experiences pain during the process but uses a set of strategies needed to help him move forward despite the adversity.
One of the most important characteristics of a resilient person is the “approach” with which the individual is fixed on the positive effects of the problem, in order to build on their advantages. Basically, it is a process of progressive adaptation around a stressor.
Another aspect is the “assessment” of the causes of this situation. That is, the resilient has the ability to assess, in detail, the factors that are causing stress, in order not to repeat the same mistakes in the future.
As a result, resilient people are healthier, live a more harmonious life, have excellent personal relationships, and have an excellent atmosphere of family and work. They are much more optimistic and successful.
